i am in love with clay! my mom turned me onto him, and from that day on...i've been hooked! the first concert i've ever seen was the joyful noise tour, and it was one of the most delicious and dreamy nights of my life!

When Clay Met Deby....he got tickled! He looks so cute. My recap follows....

Clay was very upbeat and friendly at the M&G. Probably because it was the last one! LOL! There were 13 people there...2 Stub Hub winners, a Toledo M&G re-do and the 10 OFC winners. I was 7th, right in the middle. Jerome's Understudy (I think his name is Aaron) and Mary were there, but no Nick. Some little blonde guy from the crew took the pictures. Clay was smiling as I was explaining to this guy how to use my camera. (This was a very important picture!) Although we did get the "Hannibal Lecter" speech....Dont touch the Aiken. Do not approach the Aiken. etc., etc., Aaron and Mary were very nice and not at all stern, as others who have attended M&G's described them.

After explaining how to use the camera, I turned and looked Clay straight in the eyes...gaaahhh! He said, "Well...Hello!". I, smiling broadly, but very calmly said, "Hello Clay. It's a pleasure to meet you." Smiling broadly, too, he reached out for my hand and shook it, and said "It's a pleasure to meet you!" OK, after that, I was a puddle of goo and really don't remember exactly what happen. Only snippets! LOL! He did ask what I had brought for him to sign and I handed him a picture that I had taken of him at the Cary concert. After I spelled D E B Y for him, he stared at it a few seconds, then looked up and asked me where I was from. It only took a couple of seconds for me to remember Florida. LOL! By this time, he was already focused back on my picture, but when he heard Florida, he kept staring at my name! Staring...staring for like for like 5 seconds! Finally, he wrote, "Use your voice" and his signature. He handed me my pic, smiled and said, "Here ya go, Deby from FL." I'm pretty sure that I said "thank you." At some point, Mary told him that I had brought him a gift. He looked surprised? Don't know why, cause I know that lots of people bring him gifts. Good acting. LOL! Anyway, He thanked me very much and I told him he was very welcome. He pulled me around to take the picture. I was such a wreck! After he put his arm around my waist, I did the same to him. My middle finger hit the edge of his jeans, at the waist, slid off and thumped down onto his shirt, at his waist. He got tickled, and that's when the pic was taken! Then I giggled, recomposed myself, and said, very sincerely "Thanks, Clay", looking him right in the eyes. gaaahhhh! He replied, very sincerely, "You're very welcome, Deby." gaaahhhh! I wish that I could have thought of something witty or snarky to say, but all I could think of was getting out of there before I said something stupid or embarrassing! LOL!

Unfortunately, it didn't take long before I did! I went across the room, to retrieve my purse from where we had all laid our extra stuff before Clay came in. I laid down my signed pic to look at the pic that had been taken of us. Stupid move cause I couldn't see it without my reading glasses! LOL! I picked up my purse and walked out. I was talking to another M&G winner who was in line ahead of me, when I suddenly remembered that I had left my signed pic on the table in the M&G room! I went back into the room and EVERYONE in the room turned and looked at me! As I was walking sideways across the room, I said, very nervously cause everyone was staring at me, "I just need... well, I...forgot...to take my...(had to think) autographed picture!...it's right...(I pointed to it). Everyone started laughing! Clay looked up and smiled. I retrieved my pic and exited quickly. They were still laughing. Especially security! I got the feeling that this has happened before! LOL! First dates are soooo nerve wracking!......but, I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Yes, I wore one of his favorite colors, green, which happens to be my favorite color....and, I'm sure that he wore purple just for me, cause I asked him to in a reply to his Blog!!!! LOL! He did have on two layers, though. The black under shirt had long sleeves that covered up the Butterscotch hair on his arms! Dang! Maybe he thought we'd rubbed tree nuts all over ourselves before we came in? I did get a great look at some Butterscotch hairs just below his Adam's apple............sigh..........i wanna go back now................
